 Who we are.
USENSUS was founded by W L Dewing, PhD to focus on what she loved about Human Factors—working to improve medical product design and development for clients, and the medical product experience for patients and clinicians.
Dewing practiced all aspects of Human Factors for Medtronic, Inc. Over a period of 12 years, her work encompassed design inputs, UI design, verification, validation, regulatory submission, agency audit, and CAPA activities. She started a Human Factors program for Medtronic’s Neuromodulation Division, building a 12-person Center of Excellence and institutionalizing Human Factors regulations and standards within the organization’s quality system. Prior to Medtronic, Inc., Dewing practiced Human Factors for Honeywell, Inc. and Kodak, Inc.
Dewing serves as Chief Scientist for USENSUS, partnering with other specialists as needed.
